‘1 in 5’ Episode 4: Meet Savannah Steiger
Savannah Steiger is originally from the small town of Apalachicola, FL, but now lives in an even smaller town – Harrington, ME. She lives “off-grid,” in the woods with her husband and their two children.
Savannah became involved with Family Futures Downeast and the Caring Community Collaborative in 2017, when she decided to return to college.
Every few weeks, Savannah hosts a local community supper where a small group (2-4 people) cooks dinner for 50-100 people.
She cares deeply about her community and wants to create a place where everyone belongs and gets what they need.
Savannah aims to become a counselor so she can help others in the ways so many have helped her.
