Brittnee Marsaw
Brittnee is a mother of a 4-year-old who graduated with her Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in December 2021. She received her workforce training through Family and Workforce Centers of America’s Skillup Program, which provides skills, training, and employer connections for a job or better job. During her studies, Brittnee developed her own acronyms to study for the CDL certification test, which have been adopted into160 Academy’s curriculum to train incoming students. She is now a professional driver working for an owner operator logistics company where she trains new drivers. Brittnee’s postsecondary path was not linear – there were starts and stops due to life challenges. She is inspired to use her own experiences to guide other student parents and regularly speaks to youth about the importance of a postsecondary education. Brittnee’s goals for the future include giving back to the community in all ways possible.
