Danielle Christenson is the Program Associate for the Postsecondary Success for Parents (PSP) Initiative at Ascend at the Aspen Institute. In her role, Danielle ensures the successful development and implementation of the PSP initiative to raise awareness of and share recommendations to better support undergraduate students who are parents.
Prior to joining Ascend, Danielle worked as a Policy & Planning Associate at God’s Love We Deliver in New York City, a large nonprofit focused on providing medically tailored meals to people living with serious and life-altering illnesses. There, Danielle grew the work of the national Food is Medicine Coalition and Food is Medicine movement, advocated for city, state, and federal funding for the organization, and implemented systems to standardize and increase efficiency throughout the organization.
Danielle graduated from Bridgewater State University where she holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. As a graduate student, Danielle interned at the Office of Fair Housing and Equity for the City of Boston. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and being near the water.
