Lucy Marcil, MD, MPH is a pediatrician and social entrepreneur whose work focuses on improving child health and creating health equity through financial empowerment. She is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Boston University and Associate Director of Economic Mobility for the Center for the Urban Child and Healthy Family. She co-founded and is the Executive Director of StreetCred, a nonprofit working toward economic justice by providing financial services to low-income families in the doctor’s waiting room. She completed her MD at the University of Pennsylvania, MPH at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and pediatrics training at the Boston Combined Residency Program (Harvard University, Boston University). For her work, Dr. Marcil has been recognized with the American Academy of Pediatrics Anne E. Dyson Child Advocacy Award and has been named TED Fellow.
